This is a promotional post for Harlem Globetrotters on behalf of USFamily Guide. I was sent to the show. All opinions are 100% my own
On Monday (President's Day) we had no school so we took off to the Xfinity Arena in our town to see the Harlem Globetrotters. They have started their nationwide tour and I wanted to recap our experience as well as inform you of a way you can save on your tickets. My 6 1/2 year old had a blast and I can sum it up with 5 ways the Harlem Globetrotters will entertain you!
As the Harlem Globetrotters enter the arena, they will entertain you with a circle passing game. Each player will take turns as they get their introductions on entertaining you with a ball..or two! The ball skills are fun and the kids will leave the show with their basketballs trying a few of these moves themselves!
One of the most popular ways you will be entertained are with the slam dunks. My son cheered and got excited every time the players made a clean dunk! In that first image above...the player is 7' tall. He was huge and my son was amazed. You can imagine his slam dunks almost looked effortless.
Whether kids were pulled onto the court or players sat with the kids, the engagement is so high in this show. They pulled kids up for musical chairs with the mascot, had break dancing, pulled parents for a dance off, YMCA with the kids, pulled kids for skits and even TNT (the female player) went and sat with a young fan for a part of the show as you can see in the image above.
Stunts and Acrobats
These players flip, hang, somersault, dance and even jump over one another. You can see them pull reverse plays and slow motion recaps of plays live. You will laugh and enjoy the kids faces as they are amazed at the stunts and ball tricks.
The fun doesn't have to stop when the buzzer of the last period sounds. You can stay for autographs and enjoy the fun souvenir's. My son is proud of his new Harlem Globetrotters basketball. The headband and sweatbands were popular too. Your child can get jerseys, shorts, plush and more as well. It was a beautiful day in Wa. State and my motive of making fun memories with the family was a success!
